St Helens - based Linkway Distribution Park is the ideal location for brand new, ground-breaking local bus company, Strawberry

Linkway Distribution Park, part of the Suttons Transport Group, is the operating base for new start-up local bus company, Strawberry. Linkway Distribution Park is the perfect location for Strawberry; they have been providing the new Line One bus service to key locations in Warrington, St Helens and Skelmersdale since November.

Welcoming Strawberry to Linkway, Director and General Manager of Suttons Distribution, Steve Hassall said: “Strawberry has taken out a 12-month license with Linkway and we are providing a parking area for its 5-strong fleet of single-decker buses. We also offer Strawberry excellent value for money along with 24/7 manned security as well as CCTV monitoring.”

Strawberry Director, Oliver Howarth, seen in the photograph below with one of his new buses, is delighted to be based at Linkway due to its location and excellent amenities. He said: “Our flexible lease with Linkway means we can grow our fleet in stages without incurring larger than necessary site costs from the outset and the 24/7 security means there is nothing to worry about when the buses are not operational.”

Just off Junction 7 of the M62, Linkway is central to Strawberry’s core bus routes which have been developed in response to requests from local people for direct services to vital destinations such as hospitals. The Line One service also runs via industrial sectors to get workers to and from employment areas.
